Birth Centenary Festival

The year 2011 is being celebrated as the Birth Centenary Year of Acharya Shriram Sharma Ji. It will not be an exaggeration if it is also called the Birth Centenary of Thought Transformation.

Through his determined efforts and for his greatest contributions, Acharyaji has been regarded as ‘Yug Rishi’, ‘Ved Murty’, ‘Taponistha’. It is remarkable to note, how the determined pledge of a Guru of his stature has brought millions of people together in a global village, in the name of “All World Gayatri Pariwar” for the purpose of propagating the vision of the Yug Nirman Yojna for a clear view of all. Acharyaji had a clear vision of the spiritual awakening of humanity and the descent of a heavenly era on the earth.

Yug Rishi, have revived and rejuvenated the great traditions founded by seven prominent rishis and sages, who were the pioneers of Vedic culture. His vision was to make manifest ‘Descent of Heaven on Earth’ and ‘Awakening of Divinity in Man’. Apart from hundreds of reformative, educative and reconstructive programs for the welfare of the masses Acharyaji incessantly motivated people to elevate their inner strength and inculcate virtuous tendencies by Gayatri Sadhana.

2011 is a year of greate importance in the global transition. Many seers have prophesied that 2011-2012 would be a turning point in the emergence of new era. Swami Vivekandanda has said, “The process of the creation of the new era began with the moment of birth of Thakur Ramakṛishṇa Paramhamsa in 1836” The world-renown Yogi, Maharṣi Aurobindo prophesized that the transitional period of era change would be 175 years. Therefore, 1836 by adding 175 years becomes 2011. The proclamation of these two great personalities clearly marks the importance of year 2011.

This centenary year is being celebrated in all 4000 Social Reform Centers of Gayatri Pariwar throughout the world. In India it will be celebrated in each and every city and villages. A magnificent program has been outlined for November 6^th to 10^th, 2011 in Haridwar, India. This is expected that about 5 million devotees are going to participate in it.

Acharyaji proclaimed that the “malicious thoughts” are the root cause of crisis in individual, family, social and world affairs in contemporary times. The only way out of this desperate situation is “Thought Transformation”. He gave a slogan “When we will transform ourselves, the era will be transformed”.
